YouTube & Reality

Time to call people out…

This is not going to be a “post,” but instead, it will be an actual page, and for good reason. What I am about to write about is very important, both for posterity for the future, but also for contemplation now. The topic of this essay will be how YouTube in many ways “originated” the modern “Conspiracy Theorist,” and why this is not something that will even happen on that platform again.

RFB…

I bet a lot of you recognize that name, right? When I first “got hip” to YouTube, I went down every “rabbit Hole” I could. I always did this with a sense of discernment based on my life experiences, and feel that I have been fairly adept at weeding out falsehoods, although I am aware of the “pride” in that statement. To this day, I listen to RFB as much as I can, regardless of whether I agree with everything he says. Why? Do you ask? Because I know he went from many, many followers, and making decent money, to not making as much on his “Jailbreak Overlander” channel when YT began the “purges.” Although he is not always forthcoming about his financial situation from streaming, as in, he seems to stress it a lot, and that raises flags for me; and since I understand the need for income, I can overlook this, as he is a source of good information, even if he catches it second hand from someone else, or gets it from anon sources. All I have to say about this guy is, he does get good information, even if he wants to stress far-out theories about viruses not being real, or the earth is flat…

About that…

I am going to address this once, and once only. If the earth is flat, someone please fill out the contact form and explain to me how the “StarLink” satellites can be seen at the exact time they are supposed to be? I mean, are they shooting off fakes every night to fool people? Without an orbit or some exotic gravity theory, it just does not work, unless they have big StarLink cannons…The same thing goes for the moon is plasma theory (hollow, yes…) or the “The Stars are really Angels” theory…

Now that that is out of the way…

Back to the topic at hand. The only reason I bring up RFB is actually because of something he said once about another “YouTuber” and it made a lot of sense to me. He was talking about James Corbett of the “Corbett Report” channel, and he pointed out that somehow, he is able to say whatever he wants and never really is censored. Now maybe he is just super careful about copyright strikes, or maybe he is not, either way, he gets what seems to be at least, more freedom of speech than others.

So what does it mean?

Understand please, the person writing this is not just “some guy writing,” I hold a Bachelor’s in Digital Media, with a minor in Professional Communications, along with two Associates degrees, and two Certificates of Achievement. So what? Right? Well, that means that I have taken classes where the main discussion was the consolidation of media and what that means for society. Another favorite was the Crisis Management communications courses, where it was taught that it was ok in certain circumstances to “Blame the victim,” Trust me, just look it up…

So about YouTube…

Back in the day, the YouTube algorithms would see what you watched, then recommend what to watch next based on nothing but what would make the company the most money. This resulted in many, many people going down the same “rabbit holes” I once did. The difference is this, I began READING BOOKS at a very young age, like age three. I read “Chariots of the God’s” when I was about eleven. This “ancient alien theory” was not something I bought into one hundred percent mind you, and I was not a Christian at that time, but the book did make me think, and to me, that is what is most important about many things. My point here is this, I was able to discern that the earth was not really flat, regardless of what my natural man tells me…

Other platforms…

A lot of other platforms exist for sharing videos that YouTube simply will never show you again. As I said, “back in the day” it was easy to research anything and figure out what I wanted to show others, now it is impossible to show someone the reality of truly what is going on. You just cannot. Not only are the results pigeonholed, but a lot of the content creators have also simply been banned. You will hear talk of 3Speak, Steemit, DTube, and the Hive Blockchain. While these are all valuable, notice I am not providing links as of yet. The reason is, Blockchain technology is dangerous, and it is something I want to discuss further in another post.

What is the point then?

Simply put, books are real. CD-Roms and Flashdrives are somewhat real. Any platform where you are not paying for space, or where you have hard evidence in the form of a file is NOT REAL. YouTube and other mainstream channels, like Facebook, Twitter, TikTok (Why?), or any other “tech giant” out of your control, is simply using you to make them revenue. Remember that. Anyone who appears to be allowed to say more than they should, need to be evaluated as a plant.

Just some things to think about…
